Every color, every hue is represented by me and you. Take a slide at the slope; take a look at the kaleidoscope. Spin it round; make it twirl in this kaleidoscope world.
When I sing or hear these lines, I always imagine that every person in the world is different from each other. Everyone possesses something that another one may not have in his or her own self. But I see something similar within us-talents.
We may be different from each other, but somehow, we are all similar because we possess an ability which is worth to be proud of. It is a thing not to be shy of, because it is a thing which makes your color brighter until you are able to blind everyone through yourself.
Even before, it seems that I am looking at myself as someone only who puts his own self in shame. But now that I am a martial artist, a journalist, a performing artist in my own school, etc., I realized that every difference made me highness, until I see myself like them already, being proud of themselves. I see that I am already someone who is also applauded in front.
So, take my guidance. Be not afraid to make mistakes and being different because, we are only human beings and we are really different from each and everyone (pardon for the repetition because I want that thing emphasized). And as I say this, let me quote another line from another song.
I see your true colors shining through. I see your true colors, that’s why I love you. So don’t be afraid to let them know you’re beautiful like a rainbow.
(It was just a few moments after I was chosen to be the batch’s competitor for the Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa when I wrote this essay.)
